Spring Turkey Hunting 2013
This Year has been really busy for me, with two jobs and working from sun up to sun down, Not to mention the crazy weather we have experienced in Wisconsin! Snow, rain, sun then snow again, I was almost worried I was going to have to wear my carhartt bibs ! However my week of spring Turkey hunting (April 17th- 24th ) was all rain ... Besides one day, So instead of turkey hunting on Saturday May 20th My younger brother Ryler and went SHED HUNTING along with my side kick Dixie Lou, at the Ruechel residence. No antlers... However Ryler did find a very nice red folding chair!
Reviewing 2012
Over the hunting season for 2012 I watched the Mother doe and here two fawns. They were constantly on my deer camera, but it was such an experience to watch them grow. The two fawns were also the first to deer that I watched in my bow stand. I was reading the 2013 Deer Hunter Almanac, because I was told that the reason I wasnt seeing any deer was because I wasnt sitting still, so to sit still I read. I head leafs loudly cracking and I was about to whisper to a squirrle to beat it, when I look down and saw the fawn. Shortly after she walked past the other fawn, which was a nubby buck passed by too.
I do not know if this MONSTER BUCK was shot or not. I pray that he is still out there and that we will appear this year (2013) more then one time... and hopefully duing the day light. But I wont hold my breath!

Female hunting websites
Here
are a list of websites that I found that have great female hunting apparel,
female inspired tools for hunting, jewelry and so much
more!

descent line of shampoo, conditioner because let’s face it females and males use
different products I currently am using a general sent free shampoo-body wash in

shirt from their website that says "real girls eat wild game" love it! and I a
lot of compliments on it! They have other great shirt to check out too! I also
just recently orderd their breast cancer shirt! supporting
racks!

their gun shell earrings!
This website has camo apperal, and CAMO PURSES & bags they are
supper cute! Check them out! I made my christmas wish list here!

Descent Products
Currently I am using Primos Descent
shampoo-body wash as a decenter . I also use the Primos descent spray bottle to
descent my self. I find that this product works great! I have yet to spook a
deer because of my scent! This product works! However I am not satisfied with
the shampoo, it makes my hair feel gross. I am researching other descent
products. So far I have found that "Just For Does" has a line of hair and body
product for "Does". I am interested in this product and will be writing a review
as soon as I get some!

First Doe
October 20th at 5:00 p.m.
I was on my way home from Green Bay when I got a phone call from my Grandma Linda. She called to tell me that the farmer was in the field, taken down the corn. She said that I should get out there because he’s going to spook out the deer hiding in the field. After her phone call I got home and got dressed and out to my stand in 15 minutes. This was the fastest I've ever gotten ready! I walked out waved to the farmer in the tractor, because to get to my stand I walk the edge of the field. I wanted him to know I was out there hunting.
I sat in my stand at 3:30p.m. I watched the farmer do two laps around the corn field and then he left. This gave me the chance to see where deer cross the woods and enter into the corn field. Shortly after sitting I watched three does walk out of the woods and work the way in the clearing of the corn filed to my stand. As I watched does come closer to my stand they were so cautious of every sound they heard. They would stop ears tip up, they would look then continue to eat the corn and move along the field. As I watched the three does I picked the large doe as my target. As they came around the last corner to my stand the three does were eating and making their way closer. Then all of a sudden they all froze and looked into the woods. I hadn't heard anything but I was closely watching and listening. I saw movement then horns my heart instantly started racing! He raced out of the woods antlers down and had his eyes on my shooter doe. He came stomping in. He spooked off the two smaller does back into the woods. He stopped and would stomp his foot and the doe would stomp back. It was so intense watching them! He chased her so that they were both standing in rage right in front of me! I tried getting the bucks attention by whispering "psst" I tried three times getting louder each time nothing would make this determined buck stop. Finally after chasing I got a good shot at the buck.
However a branch that I had debated on removing, when putting up my stand, was in the way. I tippy toed it and tried to shoot missing the buck. I watched my arrow go clear over his back. Hearing the arrow he walked back in the woods not giving me another chance to knock another arrow and try again. I was glad to have missed rather than taking a bad shot, and taking a chance of not finding the decent size -six pointer-buck.
After shooting and missing the buck, the shooter doe just stood there watching the buck walk away. So I quick knocked another arrow, she took two steps I whispered "psst" she looked and just like that I watched my arrow go into the shooter doe! As soon as I saw where the arrow had hit I knew I made a good shot!
After shooting the doe my adrenaline was insane! I felt a needed to get out of my stand as soon as possible. So I climbed down and raced to my jeep to plug in my conveniently dead phone and call some family to come help me track and take care of the deer.

I had found both arrows while waiting on my younger brother and
his friends to come tracking. I had also worked my first blood trail. Not even
fifty yards away from my stand we found the doe. This was one of the greatest
moments, knowing that I made a successful shot and a successful hunt! I can’t
wait to go out again and hopefully have the same luck and get a
buck!
A big thanks to my younger brother Ryler and his friends for helping me track and gut my first deer!

Female camo
When I first began hunting I
had the HARDEST time finding camouflage that fit me. This is key to a
successful hunt! Wearing too big, baggy, of camouflage makes a lot of noise
when you’re moving. Camouflage that is too tight or short can prevent a female
hunter from being comfortable and wanting to keep pursuing the hunt. However I
have noticed this year (bow hunting season 2012) that more hunting apparel
company’s are making a girls line of camouflage. Currently I use... camouflage
(with lots of extra layers underneath because I cannot hunt for long when I am
cold.. I will admit it that I go in if I feel I am to cold. FAILED HUNT)
I recently saw that sent blocker has come out with a line of female camouflage I tried it on in the shields store at the Appleton, Wisconsin mall. It seems to fit comfortably however I would suggest buying camouflage and practicing shooting and moving around before committing.
Currently I am still having trouble finding glove that are small enough for my hands that have the hole for a release. If any readers have any suggestions please comment!
